The AP State Road Transport Corporation hiked the bus fares with effect from midnight on Sunday.
The hike, ranging between 10 and 12 percent, will apply to all services except Garuda and Indra and other Volvo services which have flexi fares, ie, the hike will be in accordance with the demand. The fare hike, announced by APSRTC vice-chairman and managing director AK Khan on Sunday, is expected to net the corporation an additional revenue of Rs 360 crore.
