2 brothers die as bus hits bike

Two brothers died on the spot when a speeding RTC bus hit their motorbike from the opposite direction near SV Zoo Park on the Alipiri- Cherlopalle road here on Wednesday.

MR Palle SI M Suresh Kumar said that the deceased were identified as Srinu (22) and Chandra (19) from Jeevakona in Tirupati town. The duo, who were working as carpenters, went to their sister’s residence at Peddamandyam on Tuesday and were returning to Tirupati on Wednesday when they met with the accident.

According to passersby, the rash driving of the bus driver has resulted in  the death of the duo. While overtaking another vehicle the bus driver hit the bike on which the brothers were travelling. The bus was on its way to Madanapalle from Tirupati. The impact was such that the entire front portion of the motorbike was completely damaged The bodies were sent for postmortem.
