Parents of a 17-year-old girl tonsured the head of their daughter allegedly for being in love with a boy from a different caste. The incident took place in Gundepuri village of Thirumalagiri mandal of Nalgonda district Tuesday night.
Sources said the girl was in love with one Kommu Lakshminarayana (22) since the last one and a half years. When her parents came to know of the fact, they confined the girl to the house and tonsured her head.
On being notified of the same by the villagers, cops rushed to the girls house and took them into custody.
Based on the complaint filed by the girl, a case was registered.
