Tadipatri police registered cases against Congress leader JC Prabhakar Reddy, brother of former minister JC Diwakar Reddy, and some of his followers following a complaint by a transport contractor on Tuesday evening.
According to information, a transport company owner Varalakshmi from Veerapuram of Tadipatri rural mandal bagged tenders for dispatching material being produced in SJK steel factory located in Tadipatri.
She shifted some of her lorries to the steel factory premises for loading the material, when Prabhakar Reddy along with his followers allegedly damaged two of the lorries. When she went to the police station for lodging a complaint against Prabhakar Reddy, Reddy along with his followers allegedly tried to attack her husband Anil Kumar Reddy.
