TRS dared to prove TD anti-Telangana

Even as the TRS is insisting that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu did not announce, in unambiguous terms, that he was in favour of Telangana state in the letter sent to Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, the TDP Telangana leadership maintains that the party stood for Telangana state.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, one of the party’s two representatives at the all-party meeting on December 28 at Delhi - Kadiyam Srihari - dared the TRS whether it would be ready to face any punishment if its contention that the TDP chief did not seek Telangana state is proved wrong.

“We gave a letter favouring formation of Telangana state. Let the TRS seek minutes of the all-party meeting and make them public. If it is proved that the TDP argued against Telangana, we are ready to face any kind of punishment,” Srihari said.

He wondered why only the TRS believes the stand of the TDP was against Telangana while others see it differently. “What political reasons does K Chandrasekhar Rao have to say that the TDP has adopted anti-Telanganga stand?,” Srihari asked.
