The Nandi Natakotsavam - 2012 was inaugurated with much fanfare at the Ananda Gajapathi Auditorium at Vizianagaram on Sunday. Having been decked up recently on the occasion of the prestigious event, the auditorium wore a festive look after various artists in colourful outfits began to pour in for the opening function.

Several artistes, poets, writers and theatre art lovers took out a procession from the Gurajada statue.

The utsav is being organised by the State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation.

Having started off with a sensational performance of the epic Bhakta Prahalada, the utsav, will feature a total number of  43 plays up to Jan 27.
