A private petition was filed against AICC chief Sonia Gandhi here accusing her of being responsible for several suicides in Telangana region while a local court on Tuesday directed the Cyberabad police to register a case against Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and others for cheating T people.
Satish Agarwal, a BJP leader, said that Sonia allegedly abetted several people of T to end their lives by failing to keep her promise made during a public meeting at Karimnagar in 2009 of delivering a separate T.
Agarwal raised the issue of Sonia’s citizenship. The petition is likely to come up for hearing on Wednesday.
In another development, the XI Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Rangareddy district directed Chaitanyapuri police to register FIR against Union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, former home minister P Chidambaram and AICC general secretary Gulam Nabi Azad for allegedly breaching public tranquility by giving false statements on Telangana issue.
