The State Election Commission has directed police to register cases against those involved in auction of sarpanch posts in four villages. As per SEC officials, auctions have taken place in Uppariguda of Ranga Reddy district, Basavapur of Karimnagar district, Obinpalle of Prakasam district and Pasalpudi of East Godavari district. The commission has warned of stern action against violators.
