Jagan remand extended

A special CBI court on Monday extended the judicial remand of YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case till July 29.

Jagan Mohan Reddy, lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison, appeared before the court through a video-link with his co-accused Vijay Sai Reddy, former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao, industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, Sunil Reddy and others.

Former ministers P Sabita Indra Reddy and Dharmana Prasad Rao appeared in the CBI court. Dalmia Cements managing director Puneet Dalmia did not turn up for the  hearing and was represented by his counsel. The court also extended the judicial custody of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy in the  illegal mining case till July 29. They also appeared before the court through video-conference.

Bharathi Cements counsel filed a petition informing the court that Jagan Reddy no more represents the company and it will be represented by its director G Balaji.
