'MLAs will not gain anything by quitting'

History would not pardon YSRC MLAs, if they obstruct Telangana formation,Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah has said.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat here on Friday, Ponnala said that the YSRC’s first plenary urged the Centre to take a decision on state bifurcation. But, deviating from its stand, its MLAs have now  resigned. This shows that the resignations were only aimed at stalling the process of formation of Telangana.

By resigning, they would not gain any sympathy from the public, he said.  Ponnala suggested that the people should divide like brothers. The Centre would take a decision on Rayala Telangana and the future of Hyderabad, the minister added.
