Special forces arrive in Rajahmundry

In the wake of talk about the UPA soon granting Telangana, the government has deployed special forces in the twin Godavari districts. As a precautionary measure the forces were deployed in the Godavari districts to defuse tension.

As part of it, two platoons of para military forces were sent to Rajahmundry, Amalapuram, Kakinada and Eluru. More forces will reach the districts in three days. The special para military forces are moving around in the city to infuse confidence.

The forces were seen in Devi Chowk, Gokavaram bus station, Fort Gate, Syamala theatre centre, Alcot Gardens, Tadithota, AVA Road, Narayanapuram, Kambala Tank in the city. The forces will move around the city..

With the arrival of special forces the people came to know that statehood to Telangana is imminent.

Some people who suddenly spotted the vehicles with people in uniform at Devi Chowk centre, curiously asked why they had been deployed.
