No voting on T-bill: AP minister

Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy admitted that there would be no voting in the Assembly on the Telangana bill or resolution.

Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy admitted that there would be no voting in the Assembly on the Telangana bill or resolution.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, he said the bill or resolution would come for a debate in the Assembly.

“The Assembly Speaker will send a report basing on the majority members’ opinion expressed on the floor of the House,” the minister said. He hoped the Centre would not take any decision against the majority opinion. Anam said they were making every attempt to stop the process of Telangana formation, but in vain.

“Despite this, we are striving hard to stop division of the state under the leadership of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy,” he said.  He said they were confident that the T-process would stop at some stage in future. After the decision, there was more agony among people as they were unhappy over agitation, Anam said.
