Once Telangana state is formed, Hyderabad will be made IT capital of the country by developing the sector ten-fold, TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao has said.

Speaking at an awareness programme organised by Telangana IT Association at Sundarayya Vigyana Kendra, here on Sunday, KTR said Hyderabad, like other places in the country, had emerged as a IT hub and in the state of Telangana it will prosper like never before.

Ridiculing Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s claim that he had developed Hyderabad as IT destination during his nine-year regime, the TRS leader said it is not that Chandrababu had developed Hyderabad, but it was he who got developed by it.

Before entering politics, Chandrababu had two acres of land and after he become the CM, he is now the owner of a 15-acre farm house opposite the Hitec City. “This is all he had achieved in his nine-year rule,” he said. He also described Seemandra leaders like Lagadapati, Mekapati, Kavuri as rank opportunists rather than people’s leaders.

Criticising chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s integrationist attitude, KTR said if Kiran Kuma Reddy is right in supporting Samaikyandra in spite of his party’s decisin in favour Telangana state, then it is equally proper for a police constable to hail Telangana during the APNGOs meeting. He said Telangana people will not believe Congress till the Telangana bill is passed in Parliament and Telangana state becomes a reality.

MLC and educationist Chukka Ramaiah said Hyderabad is very much part of Telangana and a few investors from Seemandhar who have set up industries here for earning profit can not claim it as theirs. He said the stepmotherly treatment of Telangana by Seemandhra rulers was the reason for the backwardness of the region. He called upon IT people hailing from the region to extend financial support to poor and downtrodden people of Telangana.
