70 Students Fall Sick after Meal

TIRUPATI: About 70 students of Government High School at Shankarayalapeta of Peddapanjani mandal fell sick after having their mid-day meal on Saturday.

According to sources, after eating the meals, students complained of giddiness, vomiting and stomach pain.

Later, all the students were rushed to Palamaner government hospital in 108 ambulance and autos. They are all out of danger.

Meanwhile, in a submission to the district collector and education department higher officials, District educational officer B Pratap Reddy said that the students, who consumed mid-day meal were taken to hospital for treatment with a complaint of stomach-ache associated with vomiting and diarrhoea.

While, 19 students were admitted as in-patients, 10 of them have been discharged in the evening.
