VISAKHAPATNAM: The last date for admission to Visakha Institute of Port Management (VIPM) has been extended to August 6.
It is the only institute in the country offering PG diploma and diploma courses in Port Operations, Port Equipment Maintenance, Customs Documentation and Freight Forwarding.
Engineering graduates, technical diploma holders, graduates and ITI holders are eligible to take up the course. The courses gained prominence since the port sector is growing rapidly due to privatisation of ports, adoption of Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode and setting up of small and medium ports in the private sector.
Visakha Institute of Port Management was established by the Visakha Container Terminal. There are only 20 seats and admissions will be based on merit. Details can be obtained at 9032439753 and 9700057365.
