VIJAYAWADA: Hundreds of students of Delhi Public School participated in a ‘Walk for a Cause’ at Siddartha Medical grounds on Sunday to collect funds towards the ‘AP capital city development fund’.
Students from fourth standard to twelfth standard participated in the 2-kilometre walk and were even joined by a few parents. “As there is a need for substantial financial support for the development of the capital city of the new state, it is quite heartening to see students come up with such ideas to collect funds,” DPS Dean SB Rao said.
All the donations made by the students, parents and staff will be counted and donated to the AP Capital Development Fund on Monday, he added.
