Minister Irked with RIMS Maintenance

Minister for Medical and Health Kamineni Srinivas expressed his displeasure at the maintenance and working of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

SRIKAKULAM: Minister for Medical and Health Kamineni Srinivas expressed his displeasure at the maintenance and working of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

During his inspection of the hospital in Srikakulam here Tuesday, the minister spoke to the patients and authorities of the hospital about their issues. He promised that the government would sanction `20 crore for the construction of seven blocks in the campus with all the required facilities.

Expressing concern over the sanitation problems on the hospital premises, the minister directed the officials to remedy the issues at once. He said that the government would appoint a committee to study Uddanam area, where several kidney-related issues have been reported.

Minister for labour K Atchannaidu who was with the minister during the inspection, requested the minister to reslove the issues of RIMS.
