'AP's New IT Policy Will Make It Top Player'

KAKINADA: Disclosing that the government had evolved a new IT policy, Information Technology minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy said that the annual IT turnover in the state is just `1,300 crore while it is `65,000 crore in Telangana.

Speaking to reporters here Wednesday, he said that the government had taken up e-governance, innovation, capacity building and various other measures to achieve the goal od being number in the IT field. “IT hubs were proposed at Anantapur, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam and 4G internet facility would be provided to small scale internet companies. Software majors Wipro, Tech,” he said.

Collector Neethu Prasad, MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao and joint collector RM Raju were present.
