KARIMNAGAR: The YSRC town president (women wing) Ganta Susheela hit the party district president Singireddy Bhasker Reddy with her footwear at the party office during the Independence Day flag hoisting programme here on Friday.
She alleged that the party president had frequently abused her by saying that a Dalit women was not needed in politics and ignored her in the party programmes too.
On Friday, he did not intimate her for Independence day celebrations, but she attended the programme. Unable to bear the consistent insults, she attacked him along with her husband Satish Kumar. In the scuffle, Bhasker Reddy’s shirt was torn. She told media that she would take the issue to party high command.
Bhasker Reddy, however, denied the allegations and said he was shocked by her sudden attack. “In the party all are equal. I am honouring every activist and intimating them about every programme. Due to technical problems some messages might not have reached,” he added.
