VIJAYAWADA: The APSRTC officials stressed that city bus drivers will have to follow rules and it has been decided to levy fines if they violate the rules.
In a meeting with the city police commissioner AB Venkateswara Rao, APSRTC regional manager, executive director and zonal manager chalked out strategies to mitigate the traffic problems in the city here Monday. The officials decided to take stern action against the drivers who halt buses on roads and also against the people who park vehicles near the bus shelters. Enforcement of fines will be effective in two days.
