Banker Robbed of Rs 11 Lakh

VIJAYAWADA: A bank custodian has been robbed of Rs 11 lakhs by unidentified men in Gudivada Town of Krishna district here Thursday.

According to Gudivada DSP G Naganna, L Ram Prasad, a custodian officer at a private bank, went home with a sum of `11 lakhs which was supposed to be used for refilling an ATM machine.

 A couple of unidentified men barged into Ram Prasad’s house, sprinkled chilly powder into his eyes and ran away with the cash bag. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
