VIJAYAWADA: The city-based voluntary organisation, ‘Margam’, took up the project ‘My streets’ to make the city clean and beautiful.

As a part of the project, the volunteers organised the wall cleaning and painting activity at SBSRKR Girls High School, Seetharampuram here, Sunday.

About 45 volunteers took part in the wall cleaning and painting activity. Later Margam volunteers interacted with the schoolchildren to inculcate civic sense in the young minds.

“The school walls are covered with the movie posters, which may distract children. So, consulting with the school authorities and the official concerned, we removed the posters and instead painted the walls,” said A Lakshmi Annapurna, founder of Margam organisation.
