Kapus Elated Over Rajappa Becoming Dy CM

The Kapu community in the district is happy as Peddapuram MLA Nimmakayala Chinna

RAJAHMUNDRY: The Kapu community in the district is happy as Peddapuram MLA Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa was made deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. This is first time in the history of Telugu Desam Party that deputy CM post has been created.

It may be mentioned here that party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, with a view to strike the chord with the people of the respective communities, assured of allotting a deputy CM post each to Kapus and BCs during his electioneering in Pithapuram.

However, as against the expectations of many party leaders, CM Chandrababu chose Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa over politburo member and MLC Yanamala Rama Krishnudu. A native of Pedagadavalli village in Uppalaguptam mandal of Konaseema area, Chinna Rajappa has been loyal to Telugu Desam since its inception and is a staunch supporter of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He is also a non-controversial personality in the party.
