Six Injured in Transformer Explosion

RAJAHMUNDRY: As many as six persons were injured and 25 huts were gutted in fire in Magatapalli village of Mamidikuduru mandal, when an electrical transformer exploded Saturday evening.

Later, fire tenders rushed from Razole and Amalapuram and controlled the flames.

The injured were shifted to Razole government hospital immediately.

Reasons for the explosion are not yet known. Hearing the news, officials of Transco, revenue department and police rushed to the spot.
