VISAKHAPATNAM: The city police arrested two people for committing house break-ins and recovered 16 g of gold, 3.35 kg of silver and other valuables from them here Tuesday.
Producing them before the media here Tuesday, additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) S Varada Rajulu said that 25-year-old K Srinu of Kakinada and a resident of Parawada was involved in several house burglary cases in Kakinada. He was jailed for two years in murder attempt case. During this period, he befriended co-prisoner P Ravi Shankar. After getting released, both of them committed six house burglaries in Kakinada, Parawada and PM Palem areas. Acting on a tip-off, the police caught the duo Tuesday and recovered 16 g gold, 3.35 kg silver, a laptop, a motorcycle and a color TV from them. They will be produced before court.
