KADAPA: All is set for Sri Kodandarama Swamy Kalyanotsavam at Vontimitta, 20 km from here, on Thursday night between 9 pm and 10 pm. The Brahmotsavams commenced on March 27.
Officials made arrangements on a 20-acre site by levelling 86 houses north of the temple.
It is estimated that over one lakh devotees will arrive for the event.
Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Governor ESL Narasimhan will attend the Kalyanotsavam and offer silk robes and Muthyala Thalambralu on behalf of the state government.
Prior to participating in the kalyanotsavam, the chief minister will lay foundation stones for some development works at Vontimitta and address a public meeting.
Naidu for Vontimitta
Tirupati: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will tour Kadapa and Chittoor districts on April 2 and 3. Naidu, who is scheduled to participate in Kalyanotsavam at Vontimitta, will reach Kadapa airport at 4 pm on Thursday. From there, he will reach Vontimitta by road. After offering prayers to the Lord in the temple, he will visit Vavilala Subbarao Hill near the temple and watch birds. Later, he will reach the ZP High School grounds at Vontimitta and address a public meeting there. From 9 pm to 10 pm, he will participate in the Kalyanotsavam. Later, he will fly to Tirupati by helicopter and reach Fortune Grand Ritz Hotel for night stay.
