VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took stock of the measures in place for the implementation of the second phase of ‘Mee Intiki Mee Bhoomi’ programme from his residence on Sunday before setting out for launching it in Guntur district.
Addressing ministers, people’s representatives and officials in a teleconference, he asked them to take an active part in the implementation of the programme. He said already the government had effectively solved the problems pertaining to grama kantam lands and marked boundaries for them and gave necessary permissions; he wanted the officials to map and digitise them in a foolproof manner.
The CM said people need to be made aware of why the government had taken up such a mammoth task and what benefit the common man will get from it. It is responsibility of people’s representatives and the official machinery to do it, he said.
Naidu said he will be participating in two or three places during the next fortnight where the second phase of ‘Mee Intiki Mee Bhoomi’ is being implemented. He asked the officials to have a daily review of the progress of the programme by getting online reports.
He underscored the need for the benefits of the programme reaching the intended and said only then the role of government in that particular aspect is deemed completed.
