CM: Focus on Water Supply

VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to take measures for uninterrupted power supply, drinking water facility for the public and also to provide fodder and water for animals during the summer season.

Addressing district officials through video conference on Thursday, he asked the collector to arrange a toll free number to receive complaints from the public and to redress them immediately.

In the state, 238 mandals in seven districts have been declared drought-affected. To provide drinking water, the government has released `40 crore for villages and another `40 crore for cities. “Under National Village Employment scheme, 150 holidays will be given for the labour and they will get 20-30 percent of additional allowance,” he said.
