HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday appealed to the state government employees to donate one-day salary and the people to chip in with at least a ‘brick’ for the construction of the new state capital. “I appeal to everybody to donate at least some amount of money to the capital development fund. I call upon every employee to donate their one-day salary. Every citizen should donate a brick for capital construction in order to make it a people’s capital,” he said at a video conference with officials from across the state.
Stating that all government employees have a major stake in the development of the state, Naidu asked them to set an example by actively taking part in the reconstruction process. Reading out the Cabinet resolution, he said, “I would like to see every one of you participating in the development of the new capital as well as the entire state.”
