VISAKHAPATNAM: The Rural police raided two blackstone quarries at Roulgunta mandal and seized large quantity of explosives here Thursday. Police sources said that the quarry management had been violating the norms and using excessive explosives.
The police seized 70 gelatin sticks and 36 detonators. One Rajula Naidu of Pathampeta was taken in to custody, while another person fled from the spot. Rolungunta police have registered cases and investigation is on.
