44 WG Youths Cheated with Gulf Job Promise

ELURU:As many as 44 persons have been cheated with the promise of  jobs in the Middle East. The issue came to light only Friday when the deceived youths retured to to their natives villages in   Narasapur division of West Godavari district.

According to police, Bhumesh of Karimnagar and Vinod of Warangal met Trimurtulu of Rallapalem in Mogaltur mandal who came to his village on leave from Iraq.

The two agents told Trimurtulu that there were five vacancies in the Gulf and were looking for unemployed people. Following this, Trimurtulu brought 48 more people from Narsapur and Magaltur areas. They all paid `48 lakh to the agents through Trimurtulu.

On March 31, they  boarded a train and reached Mumbai the next day. From there, they tried to contact the two middlemen but in vain. While four victims stayed in Hyderabad, 33 others came back to Narsapur Friday morning.

A police complaint was lodged at Mogaltur.
