VISAKHAPATNAM: In a tragic incident, a couple was killed in an accident as their motorcycle collided with a SUV coming from the opposite direction at Bheemaboinapalem village of Makavarapalem mandal of the district Friday. The deceased have been identified as R Errarao (48) and R Santhi (42), residents of Addam village of Kasimkota mandal of the district.
According to Makavarapalem circle inspector P Ramesh, Errarao was a former sarpanch of Addam village and currently an LIC agent. The couple had gone to their relative’s house to attend the local festival at Bheemaboinapalem. While returning to their residence at around 11 pm on Thursday, their vehicle was hit by a Bolero SUV, killing the two on the spot. The police have registered a case and investigation is on.
