AP Government Gets Rs 1,616 Cr and TS Rs 915 Cr

HYDERABAD: The Union government on Sunday released amounts of Rs 1,616.78 crore and Rs 915.85 crore for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states respectively as first instalment of devolution of funds as per the recommendations made recently by the 14th Finance Commission.

The Union government released more than Rs 37,420 crore to states for 2015-16 towards the first tranche of development funds.

Of that fund, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states will get Rs 1,616.78 crore and Rs 915.85 crore respectively.

The Union finance ministry released a circular in New Delhi on Sunday giving details of the funds released to the states as per the Finance Commission’s report.
