NARSAPUR:The Union government will sanction an amount of Rs 78,587 crore towards various taxes to Andhra Pradesh in the ensuing five years. It has already released Rs 6.701 crore in the month of March to the state government, Union minister for commerce Nirmala Sitaraman has said.
In this financial year, the Centre is ready to pay an amount of Rs 8,945 crore towards share of taxes, even as it released Rs 500 crore for construction of Raj Bhavan, Rs 100 crore for Godavari ‘Maha Pushaakarams’, Rs 1,300 crore towards Resource Gas account, Rs 295 crore for development of special areas, Rs 1,000 crore for the construction of new capital and Rs 250 crore for Indira Sagar Project, she told reporters here.
