3 Held for Stealing Mobile Phones

VIJAYAWADA: The city police have arrested three persons for stealing laptops and mobile phones and recovered `80,000 worth electronic gadgets from them here Sunday.

According to the police, the accused were P Koteswara Rao (42), Sai Prakash (27) and D Bujji (30) all from Vijaywada and were habituated to crime. Koteswara Rao was released from jail recently and has stolen as many as 19 cell phones from a electronics showroom in Paipula road on March 29 and a LCD television from a cafe.

With help of his jail mate Sai Prakash, he sells the stolen goods. Recently, the duo joined hands with Bujji and continued to burglaries during nights. They were picked up by night patrol on suspicion and during questioning they reveled the thefts.
