ANANTAPUR: Hindupur MLA and Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna took up a whirlwind tour of his constituency and participated in a series of development programmes Tuesday.
He inaugurated 12 new RTC buses at Hindupur, and to the surprise of all present on the occasion, drove a bus to some distance.
Earlier, after garlanding the statue of BR Ambedkar at Chilamathur marking the occasion of his 124th birth anniversary, the MLA launched CCTV cameras at Chilamathur police station.Later, he went to Lepakshi temple and performed puja.
From there, Balakrishna reached Hindupur and laid the foundation stone for the construction of Ambedkar Bhavan at Kallur Subba Rao Park, at an estimated cost of `40 lakh.
