Steps to Curb Thefts at Mango Market

VIJAYAWADA:  Police commissioner AB Venkateswara Rao, who visited Nunna Mango Market on Wednesday night directed the officials concerned to take steps to get the gates repaired and CC cameras installed.

As the thefts in the market happen at night, it was decided to intensify night patrolling in the area. Further, the market yard committee was asked to engage private security as was done last year.

A close watch will be on every visitor and worker at the market. Local youth above 14 years interested in working at the market will get jobs, the police commissioner said.
