64-yr-old Man Hit by Bike Dies

VIJAYAWADA:  A 64-year-old man died in an accident at Silver Spoon Function hall in Guru Nanak Nagar here on Friday.

According to VIII Town CI K Damodar, the victim J Nageswar Rao (64), a tailor working in  Paatha Ramannapeta of Machilipatnam, who came to the city to  attend a function at Silver Spoon function hall, was crossing the road, when a speeding bike hit him. Rao fell down and suffered head injury.

He was rushed to hospital where he died. Police are on the lookout for the biker, who fled the spot, immediately after the accident. A case has been registered.
