Praja Natya Mandali Meet at Rajahmundry

VISAKHAPATNAM: The ninth state conference of Andhra Pradesh Praja Natya Mandali will be conducted at Rajahmundry from June 13 to 16. Over 500 delegates from different parts of the state will participate in the four-day event. Praja Natya Mandali state president Puli Sambasiva Rao demanded that the government should announce a policy on culture and allocate adequate funds to prevent folk arts like Burra Katha, Veedhi Bhagothalu, Kolatalu and Tappetagullu, from extinction. He also wanted the government to conduct competitions in various folk art forms on the lines of Nandi Natakotsavalu, to encourage artistes.
