HRD Minister Invites B.Ed Grads for Meet with Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: Bacelor of Education (B.Ed)  graduates appearing for DSC 2015 on May 11 have urged human resources development minister Ganta Srinivas Rao to make them eligible for Special Grade Teachers (SGT).

A group of DSC candidates with B.Ed qualification met the minister at the Sub-Collector’s office, here Thursday, while he was leaving after releasing Intermediate first year results.

Submitting a memorandum to him, they recalled that when they met him some time in the past, he had told them that the Central government had not given permission and that West Bengal government too was not offering SGT posts to B.Ed graduates.  “We pointed out to him that now West Bengal government has made B.Ed graduates eligible for SGT posts so AP government too should follow suit.

He invited us for a meeting with chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in a couple of days to discuss the matter,” Venugopal, a DSC candidate told Express.
