Student Ends Life for Failing Inter Exam

VIZIANAGARAM:In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old student, L Ravisankar, committed suicide by placing his head on the railway track at Gajapathinagaram in the district Friday for failing in Intermediate first year examinations.

According to the police, Ravisankar took the extreme step after for failing in the mathematics paper.

The results were announced Thursday evening. Soon after Ravisankar came to know that he had failed, he reportedly went missing and his body was found on the railway track near Kotharoad junction.

Ravisankar studied in a private junior college in Vizianagaram.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) who recovered the body from the tracks, sent it for postmortem.

The police are ascertaining the cause of the alleged suicide through the student’s call data retrieved from his mobile phone before his tragic death.
