Rain Wreaks Havoc in Kadapa

KADAPA:Untimely rain accompanied by strong winds Friday night caused a lot of damage in Jammalamadugu constituency in Kadapa.

Nearly 150 electricity poles have been uprooted in both the Jammalamadugu and Mylavaram mandals by fierce gals, that also damaged the rooftops of 22 houses in some of the villages.

Besides causing damage to banana plantations in an area of 15 acres in P Bommepalle and Gudemcheruvu village, the rain and winds devastated several poultry farms in both the mandals, where the preliminary estimations maintains that about 5,000 birds died. Rains and wind also battered Muddanur mandal.
