VIJAYAWADA:Two men in their early thirties died when their bikes collided at Vissannapeta on Sunday.
According to Vissannapet SI M Chiranjeevi, the accident took place when K Kishore Babu, assistant lineman in Meddelparva village, was going towards Reddigudem and M Narasimha Rao, working as lorry driver, was on his way to Vissannapeta. Kishore Babu died on the spot and Narasimha Rao died on the way to hospital.
Hearing-impaired Girl Raped
A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 32-year-old man at Nandigama of Krishna district on Sunday. According to Nandigama circle inspector SVV Satyanarayana, the incident took place when the victim, a hearing-impaired girl, failed to return home, after she went out on some errand.
Her mother, a daily wage earner, who went looking for her, found her being manhandled by one M Prakash (32). When he noticed the mother, he fled the spot.
On a complaint from the girl’s mother, the police registered a case.
