HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will start functioning as two separate entities from May 14. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of executive directors (ED) of the corporate office here on Tuesday.
“All the officers are hereby informed that the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation shall function as two separate entities with effect from 14.05.2015,” said a note signed by vice-chairman and managing director of the corporation, N Sambasiva Rao.
Provisional allocation of executive directors to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was initiated on April 9. Sources said that allocation of employees between the two entities has concluded and that A Block at Bus Bhavan, Chikkadpally has been allotted to Andhra Pradesh and B-Block to Telangana.
