New TTD Chief Vows Easy Darshan

HYDERABAD:The newly appointed Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman and senior TDP leader Chadalavada Krishnamurthy is likely to take charge on Wednesday.

A day after he was appointed TTD chairman, Chadalavada called on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the secretariat and expressed his gratitude to him.

“My priority would be to see that common devotees get all the facilities in Tirumala and make darshan easier for them,” he told reporters later.

Referring to the scams that took place in the TTD board in the previous government, Chadalavada said he would streamline the entire functioning of the board and make it transparent and accountable.

“I would see the board functions transparently,” he said.

Indicating that he would act tough against  people indulging in corrupt practices in the board, the new TTD chief said he would initiate stringent action against corrupt officials.
