VIZIANAGARAM:Collector MM Naik approved the Annual Credit Plan of Rs 3,035 crore for 2015-16 in the district consultative committee meeting held here Tuesday.
During the last fiscal, the bankers had extended maximum help and offered loans for crops, self-help groups, bank linkage and tenant formers. The collector exhorted the bankers to sanction land loans to farmers on par with the SC/ST/BCs, minority and industrial loans. A special cell was opened in the collectorate to receive complaints and grievances from the farmers for the second phase farm loan waiver. The cell will remain open till May 15, the collector said.
The collector asked the bankers to collect certificates from the gram sarpanchs on the Jandhan Yojana scheme status in villages.
Lead bank manager Srinivasa Rao, NABARD AGM Srinivas and officials from various banks and welfare departments were present.
