VIJAYAWADA: Measures are being initiated to expedite the construction of flyover at Durga temple, R&B special chief secretary B Sam Bob has said.
After inspecting the place identified for construction of the flyover and alignment works with district collector Babu A and other officials on Wednesday, he said works need to be done in coordination with irrigation, electricity, national highways, R&B, municipal corporation and other departments.
He directed the collector to take up a comprehensive survey for expediting the works and asked the energy department officials to submit a report on cost estimates for relocation of electricity towers. He said once the flyover was completed, it would greatly help in regularising the city traffic.
