RAJAHMUNDRY: Opposition Leader in the AP Legislative Council C Ramachandraiah has alleged that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is looting the government exchequer in the guise of expenditure for the Pushkaram-related works. The Pushkaram works were nothing but a conduit for money to TDP leaders and cadre, he alleged.
Speaking to newsmen here Monday, he said that the government was mum on the poor quality of the works. The people were expressing dissatisfaction about these works, he added.
“Low quality tiles fixed on footpaths recently have developed cracks. How could the government sanction crores of rupees worth of works on nomination basis, he questioned. He alleged that huge amounts had been sanctioned for non-priority works. Finance minister Yanamala Rama Krishunudu had never inspected any work, he said and added that all the works had been sanctioned without the notice of Minister for Endowments.
