HPCL Celebrates Foundation Day

Visakh Refinery G Sriganesh

VISAKHAPATNAM: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Visakh Refinery, celebrated its foundation day Wednesday. It was on this day 41 years ago, that the HPCL was founded. On the occasion, Visakh Refinery management organised several programmes.

The day started with all the employees taking the foundation day pledge, administered by Visakh Refinery executive director G Sriganesh. The employees of the refinery rededicated themselves to the Corporation’s endeavours and initiatives in the areas of sustainability, environment and social commitments.

To mark the occasion, Sriganesh and general manager (Operations) GSVSS Sarma, GM-Projects VS Shenoy, GM-Maintenance S Raja and GM (HR) ASV Ramanan planted saplings on the refinery premises.

Chairman and managing director Nishi Vasudeva addressed all the employees across India through webcast and thanked them and their predecessors for their contribution to the corporation.

The HPCL has planned to observe CSR month from July 15 to August 15 and proposed to hold a number of activities to this effect.
