VISAKHAPATNAM: Anakapalle MP M Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the toilet block constructed by Simhadri Super Thermal Power Plant (SSTPP) of NTPC under its Swatchh Vidyalaya Abhiyan, at ZP High School, Tallapalem of Kasimkota mandal Wednesday.
The SSTPP took up construction of toilet blocks at various places in the state, as part of its CSR initiatives. As many as 611 toilet blocks are nearing completion in Visakhapatnam and Guntur districts.
Speaking on the occasion, group general manager of SSTPP-NTPC AK Samanta said that the NTPC has always been committed towards corporate social responsibility. “We now have decided to take up National level initiatives as well,” he said.
Anakapalle MLA P Govind Satyanarayana, Kasimkota MPP P Subba Laxmi, District educational officer MV Krishna Reddy were also present.
